When Danielle was growing up in Northern California, her dad included her and her siblings in everything he did. Photography became one of her favorite ways to spend time with him—he was the one who gave Danielle her first camera and photography lessons. When Danielle got to high school, and finally took a proper photography class that involved working in a darkroom, that's where she spent all her free time. She knew she would make it her career one day.
Over the last 15 years, Danielle has lived and worked in Los Angeles, New York, and now Nashville. After relocating to Nashville, her attention shifted from portraits to the food industry. Her favorite type of project is a collaborative one. It might be on set for a cookbook working alongside an author, food and prop stylist to bring a plate of food to life. Or, when shooting a portrait, she likes to have a conversation with the person she’s photographing, to get them to relax, share their stories and help her capture who they really are. Whether she's shooting in her studio or on location, those moments give her the most satisfaction.
She regularly shoots for clients such as, Bon Appetit, Hammer Stahl and Nashville Lifestyles and is a member of the Southern Foodways Alliance. Danielle is currently available for bookings in Nashville, Austin and New York.
