Ann Elliott Cutting graduated from U.C.S.D.with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and received a B.F.A. with Honors in Photography from Art Center College of Design. Specializing in conceptual photo illustration, she has won awards in Communication Arts, PDN, Print Magazine, IPA and AIGA. She is on the faculty at Art Center and LACP. At Art Center she has Served on Scholarship Review, Department Chair Search Committee, Curriculum Committee and Art Center Partners Steering Committee. She has served on the board of directors for the Advertising Photographers of America, and is currently on the board of advisors for the Non Profit Los Angeles Center for Photography. She does part time basic research in molecular biology and studies the regulatory gene networks and transcription factors in Sea Urchins at Caltech. She blends her imagery onto wheel thrown and hand built ceramic pieces at Xiem Clay Center.
