All of the work I do is motivated by my love for food. Be it on set food styling or in the kitchen developing recipes, I want to inspire people to come together and prepare a beautiful meal or eat something delicious. Whether that inspiration for them comes in the form of seeing a beautiful image, or trying a five-star recipe – when people can connect with the end result of my work, that is the icing on the cake for me.
My career started at a creative PR & marketing agency, then transitioned to a pastry kitchen. While completing pastry training at Kendall Collage in Chicago I stumbled into food styling thanks to my (now) photographer-husband, Steven Karl Metzer.
